When you see this, post a little weensy excerpt from as many random works-in-progress as you can find lying around. Who knows? Maybe inspiration will burst forth and do something, um, inspiration-y.

A little something I whipped up after thinking about it for, well, since August 2007. A nice bit of body language continuity. I tip my hat to Mr. Raimondi for working that in.

I am very excited for X-Factor: Forever!

And I know at least one person on my f-list is probably just as excited for Sabretooth: Origins!

Title: The Condom Fairy Attacks
Fandom: Marvel U (X-Factor v3)
Characters: Jamie Maddrox, Julio Richter, others
Prompt: Day late, dollar short.
Word Count: 703
Rating: M
Summary: Ric and Jamie run into someone ...interesting. (Jamie pov.)
Author's Notes: This takes place in the 5 month time skip, and can be considered an AU starting from when that began, because I really think that in that time, some of the "team" would have been smart enough change what they look like some, given that the FBI is looking for them.

His particular wings were lime green with DayGlo pink swirls that matched his glittery pink latex shorts. )

Rating: R? Involves torture, drugs, violence, etc.
Summary: A closer look at what The Right did to Rictor, and how that affected one friendship.
Author's Notes: I swear I'm capable of writing happy fic for Rictor, really I am. This just isn't one.

I'm really glad that this supposed tie-in with "Divided We Stand" didn't seem it at all, because I picked up an issue and flipped through it in the store, and then set it down and vowed to never stray from my chosen books again.

So, here's some things about X-Factor #30.

Things that surprised me )

Things that confused me )

Things that narked me )

I was glad to see Ric taking a proactive role, despite it all. And I'm getting really tired of Jamie's narration. He actually made a couple of jokes in this issue, which is quite a switch up -- and that should tell you something.

Title: On the Red Sox's winning the 2007 World Series
Fandom: X-Factor vol.3
Author's notes: I wrote this a day or two after the win, and while I meant to go somewhere with it, the place I was gonna go I've decided to get to from a different point in a different fic, and thus this is all of this I am showing. It is what it is.

It was the most excited any of them had seen Rictor get since Paris. )
