Michael Jon Carter will be born December 29, 2442. (Probably so will his twin sister, but you never know, it might have been midnight-ish when the first one popped out. ;3)

This date will, unless the calendar is altered in the next few centuries, be a Monday. In the truest Garfield tradition, I feel this may explain a lot. On the other hand, "Monday's child is fair of face." That's true enough.

I wonder if I can work this into Christmas-themed fic somehow.

(Incidentally, I was born on a Friday morning.)

I issued a challenge, decided to take it myself, rambled on too long for a commentfic, and now inflict this on y'all. Blue & Gold versus black-and-red. Non-slash! *gasp!*

Booster Gold #2 was very enjoyable. Maybe it's because he was the guy who started the character, but Dan Jurgens does a very very nice Booster. There are some pretty pretty panels in there.

There is also a scene. In a bar. I will not tell you what happens, because that would be spoilers, but if you read it you will know what I mean and let me just say that I LOVED IT. I LOVE THEM. THAT WAS GREAT.

I look forward to the next issue, which will doubtless also have a scene in a bar, considering the cover is a scene in a bar. With Jonah Hex. :3

I went looking for the lyrics to this song to give a link to

lakidaa, because I use it as inspiration when writing Booster Gold. (I use three other song from the album for Guy/Bea. :3) To my great dismay, every site I looked at had obviously pasted the same transcription of the lyrics -- right down to some slightly wonky formatting -- and it was wrong. I know I wasn't looking at a "misheard lyrics" page or anything, and I know that it's not just that it's sung differently than it's written in the lyrics sheet for the CD, because I have the CD and the lyrics aren't provided.
