X-Men fanfic: "Helpful Revelation"
Apr. 2nd, 2010 06:53 amThis is a little drabble set before M-Day, some short time after the wedding kerfuffle, and written primarily because I like to think Alex gained some wisdom from his time in the Mutant X universe.

He resists the urge to rub his eyes. It wouldn't do any good, anyway; nothing can explain what he's seeing.
Superman is outside. Floating, in space.
This in itself is not totally unusual.
It's the fact that he's washing the windows out there, lips pursed and cheeks moving in a way that suggests that he is whistling, out there in the soundless vacuum of space...
He shakes his head and turns, only to discover Batman standing right behind him.
He absolutely does not squeak.
"Guy Gardner left an impression of his buttocks on the glass," Batman says without prompting, giving the barest nod towards the window, where Superman his now giving his handiwork a critical look-over. "It was bothering him."
Author's notes: Yes, Guy really did that. You can supply the JLAer seeing this yourself.

Nov. 11th, 2007 09:54 amSo. I'm feeling magnanimous, and also need something to keep my brain occupied that isn't what my brain's been occupying itself with lately.
Which is why I am presenting the Ely-belly Drabble Request Remix! (patent pending, some restrictions apply)
Here's how it works:
I'm going to give you a list of things I am willing to fic for (under a cut -- it's a big list) and you may comment on this post with a request for the series/game/whatever. I will write a drabble for that series/game/whatever, and post it as a reply to your comment. That's my only guarantee. Oh, and there will not be any porn. I can't fit porn in a drabble.
You can ask for one (1) particular character1 to be involved or mentioned, and I may accommodate that -- but this is a wild and crazy spontaneous inspiration type Remix! So you might not get that character if I get a more compelling idea. And I'm not asking for prompts or story ideas because I don't want them.
I want to see what I can come up with for you on my own.

Meanwhile, the trailer for Superman Returns is awesome and I really, really want to see this movie. I am so glad it looks like they went with a sensible script instead of the terrible, terrible mutant brainbabies that had been considered. YEESH.
