Actually a pretty good film! If the trailers I saw when it was in theatres had had more of "Bruce Banner runs from the Army and seeks a cure" and less "BLARRR ABOMINATION BLARRR" I might have watched it sooner.

Seriously, it made me like Bruce Banner and Betty Ross, something the comics have never entirely succeeded with. And like them together, as friends and partners and a couple. They were so caring of each other, gentle but strong in their convictions and love. I liked it. The special effects and pre-Abomination fight scenes were pretty good.

I'm glad "Mr. Blue" didn't turn out to be Reed Richards, gotta say.

Need to track down the short that expands on that scene at the end with Ross and Stark, and the other one, "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Thor's Hammer". Coulson! :D

I'll probably rewatch the Cap movie tonight or tomorrow. Planning to go see The Avengers Thursday (please no spoilers!), so I gotta prep! Probably skim a synopsis of the second Iron man movie while I'm at it.

Well it's the heartwarming story of two smartalecky and/or slapsticky male ducks who take in an orphaned female duckling to raise as their own -- and they fight crime! ;D

Basically! Including lots of meta and puns! :D

Speaking of puns, I am now about to tell you a terrible math joke.

What's the square route of 69?

"Ate" something!

I... don't get it. ( ._.)

I don't understand math. There may be something wrong with me. :(

Oh boy. Okay, I will break it down. 69 = term for simultaneous mutual oral sex. Ate is a pun for eight, and also a term for oral sex. If you actually find the square route of 69 it is the number I gave, eight point a bunch of other numbers, so "eight something", thus "ate something". Math sex pun.

Ah. I see where I got confused -- I've always known "69" as just meaning sex of any kind. Because they're inside eachother hurr hurr. So I completely missed the "ate" bit.

*fails at sexual innuendo*

I've never seen or heard 69 used for any type of sex except the one it visually resembles: heads-to-tails.

And then there's this song:
You turn my head around
Turn me upside down
You turn my head around
Blew my mind
Sixty-nine times
(Yeah yeah yeah)

*patpats* It's okay, all jokes are heavily contextual.

So I've watched that now. I approve both of the music and of Coulson's display of the trademark S.H.I.E.L.D. understated humour and casual badassery. I also approve of his donut choice. ;3

If I had a pierced navel I would so wear a S.H.I.E.L.D. piercing (http://www.bodyvibe.com/marvel/) and name it after him. B3

Hopefully you will find the Avengers as awesome as I do~ ^^;

And after you watch I shall link you to a clip of Mark Rufalo talking about the time he had to perform high (...not in the Avengers.)

I hope to enjoy it. :3 I like Cap and Thor and at least one version of movie!Hulk, so the prognosis seems good, and also Hawkeye seemed pretty well-cast in Thor and things I have heard that the actors said about Widow give me hope for her. Also, Loki Covets The Cube is the plot I was hoping they'd go for, which the Tor after-credits gives me hope about, so~~~~

*facepalm* Oh dear. Dare I hope it was legitimate meds?

I was not unhappy with a single casting choice, myself, despite reservations about three of them. So..yup. The people are good! I shall say nothing more though, because once I start talking I can't stop.... ^^;

I will link you after thursday! (I don't actually think there are any spoilers, but I might as well not risk it)
