[livejournal.com profile] lakidaa just gave me a wonderful, delicious idea! Chess - with cheese! the board could be made out of thinly sliced squares of cheese, the pieces could be carved or moulded hard cheeses, two kinds, and when you capture pieces you eat them! Each set would go for one game. Or maybe the board should be made of crackers, I'm not sure. Thoughts? Could I make these as a party thing?

It is a BRILLIANT idea -- I think you could sell them as a bigass party game. Like... One bag of crackers (enough for a board and a half, in case of broken crackers), and two sets of cheesy goodness.

Mmm-mmm!

Mmmm. But I need to decide on the types of cheese! Obviously you could not use soft cheeses, and even the medium cheeses would be iffy. Should they just be made to order?

Made to order, and charge an arm and a leg.

There's so many RFWFs out there... You'd be a millionaire in no time.

((I have pickles, cheese, olives, crackers, and... yeah, I don't know what's in that bowl there. Oh! And canned beans.))

If you didn't want to go all-out and make cheesy chess-pieces, simple rounds would do wonders for a game of checkers ^_^

You could even go all-out, cut up some cheese wedges, and make a backgammon board! XD

Although probably I will go with the simpler versions you came up with, like checkers, and have lots and lots of extra pieces for nibbling on, so that only those interested in playing need eat the pieces; other people might be all "ewww! You touched that, like, 7 times! I'm not eating that!"

For the less adventurous, tic-tac-toe!

Sounds like you have a good plan, here *ebil*

(Don't try tiddlywinks, though; I don't think it would work ...)

You could use crackers along for tiddlywinks,a lthough candy works best. But I'm hoping for good weather and a bbq.

And kebaps. And probably pork, chicken, etc. I need to get a list of everyone's food allergies. I don't want to inadvertently kill my grandmother, but it's scarily easy to do.
