Kyle and Atlantis

With many fandoms, when I start to get into them, I poke them with other fandoms I like and crossover ideas, to try to get a feel for how things work through the mental experiment with reactions to the interloper. I play the crossover game, essentially.
Well, my brain has decided that taking Alpha Flight characters out of mothballs and ending them off to the Pegasus galaxy would be a good way to figure out Stargate: Atlantis. Now, I haev a fondness for Wild Child. He's just such a strange little guy, and he has an obsession with the Beaubier twins and an angsty background, and a lot of damned hair. Who can argue with blond hair past his ass and claws? He's not pretty -- except when he went through that stretch as "Wildheart" and looked like he fell out of an Anne Rice novel, of course, but it wore off -- but I like him.
So I was trying to remember where in Canada he's actually from. I had the vague idea that he spoke like he might be a Maritimer, but Alpha Flight was pretty obvious with it's East Coast stereotypes (painfully so -- I hate you, John, you bigoted fuck~) so ventually I went "fuck it!" and randomly decided he's from Manitoba.
Then today it occured to me that I have various Marvel resources bookmarked and could *gasp* check. (I am so smrt.)
Well, UncannyXMen.Net has nothing to say about it, but the Marvel Database claims he's from Scotland.
That's right. The answer to "Where in Canada is Kyle from?" is "Scotland." (ETA: Which is not in Canada.)
HA HA HA WHAT
....I suppose, given as Kyle was kidnapped off the street by an international secret evil organisation thingy, it's possible (and might explain how Val Cooper - and American - got roped into dealing with him... But why would the Canadian government have stuck him in Gamma Flight if he wasnt' a citizen? I mean sure, it's not like he really had anything to go back to -- his brain had been messed with such that he didn't think there was anything for him anywhere really -- but it's specifically called out that Gamma Flight are powered Canadians.
So. I'm gonna make up something, for the sake of my AU soldier Kyle anyway. He was born in Scotland, his family moved to Canada. Ironically, one of the characters in SGA is a Scottish doctor played by a guy who was born in Scotland and moved to Canada. So a little meta nod there, I guess.
