eliyesOkay, so back in the summer of 2011 I made a Pipster or Pied Piper & Trickster fanmix. (Which I never shared, because I'm not sure quite how to go about it, I feel like maybe I should make album art, and I suspect I'd have to explain waaaaay more of my personal interpretation of certain metaphysical aspects of Trickster's history than a fanmix really merits.) I just listened to it again for the first time in months, and it still works for me. (So maybe I will work on those issues and eventually share it.)
Now, in my playlists I have one marked "Pipster" and one marked 'Pipster not used", and the latter is basically just the songs that I associate with one or both of the characters, their relationships and shenanigans, etc., but didn't use because the list I finally went with provides a better sort of quasi-narrative continuity, to me.
"Pipster" is 10 songs long.
"Pipster not used" is 22 songs long.
That's more than twice as long! This strikes me as really funny. maybe I should make another couple of playlists? XDI could make one of just songs with the theme of running.

Date: 2012-11-25 05:01 pm (UTC)However, the ones I saw tended to focus on major points in the character/pairing's history and created a set of songs that was smaller than a 'standard' fanmix for each chapter, but larger overall. "A Star is Born"/"Terrible Twos"/"Breaking Hearts and Taking Names"/"Fate of a Planet"/"Well-Earned Final Rest", etc.
There WAS a Hermione/Ron one I know of, but cannot find despite trying to enact google-fu, that had a 5-song set for each one of the books. That one had created cover art for each one and offered downloads of each individual "book" or the whole lot.

Darn. I'm a membe rof a fanmix comm but it has't seen any activity in a while. I'll poke through the archives and try tog et some ideas. I do like the list I made, but some of the other ones still have potential... (Heck, I have an entire caper planned around one of them!)
