Weirdly, one of the Young Justice cosplay groups at Anime Boston was having exactly that conversation in the food court (the same group that was wondering about what their various characters would actually act like at a con, and that had a Wally who sold his Zatanna for ice cream ^^;).

Edit: Wally...didn't actually sell Zatanna for ice cream. Just told a perverted puppet in the artist's alley that it MIGHT be a possibility, depending on the amount of ice cream. Just thought I should clarify since I did mention they were in the food court. >.>

I don't know about Young Justice Wally, but regular comics before the reboot Wally would go nuts with happiness, especially if it was a more general sci-fi & comics con and he could get his massive Star Trek geekery on. (Alas, comics Wally at the equivalent age to YJ Wally was in that transition phase between "supernaturally good because his secretly evil occasionally physically abusive father had the power to forbid him from ever seeing Iris and Barry again" and "completely self-absorbed jerk".)

This is good. By "Sell" do you mean "rent for use" or "sell and say goodbye"?

They definitely decided Wally would have the most fun, and thought perhaps M'gann would enjoy getting to be green in public.

I don't think they'd quite worked out the fine details. I imagine rent (I kept hoping Zatanna would object. "og ot acitratna. dekan"" or something).

You know, telling a speedster to teg tsol is pretty effective -- although when she did it to Bart, he ended up in an alternate dimension, which was much like a video game, and he basically demolished the local political structure.

Hee~ Well, not "hee" about destroying political structure. That's not so good.

(I think if I ever cosplayed Zatanna - I was considering for a while, with the caveat that I had to at least be a size 12 if not smaller if I did - I think I'd have to spend quite some time rehearsing backwards speech. And possibly slight of hand.).

Eh, it wasn't a great sructure to begin with. Evil king ruling with the control of monsters, etc.

(I keep running into people who don't get the word worder right for Zee and it IRKS me.)

...Huh. So Bart once defeated Bowser?

(I came into her kind of late, and then sort of fell in love with her but couldn't actually figure out what would be good back issues to read, but was of the impression that even the writers were occasionally inconsistent?)

Not nearly as cool as Bowser (think about that) although his bodyguards were pretty awesome. I can't remember how that worked out...

(Oh, the writers are HELLA inconsistent with Zatanna, seriously.)

Oh. Well, he SHOULD fight Bowser. I definitely would have paid to see that. :D

(Well, it doesn't stop the irk-factor, but I don't think fans can be blamed when most of the resources don't even know what she's actually doing. Literally, in some cases, since it also seems that the amount of reliance she HAS on the words fluctuates wildly by writer)

BART vs BOWSER!! One shall stand! One shall fall! :D

(Inconsistency in terms of her personality and the themes and proportionate amount of drunken naked John Constantine is what I meant. Most actual comic writers get it right that the words are backwards but in the same order they'd be forwards. Some fans, producing fic and art, do not, which always confuses my translation matrices.)

And this is why DC really needs to choose a video game company and create a game ala Marvel vs Capcom. :D

(I could have sworn that I'd seen her doing sentence-level reversal as well at one point. The internet certainly seems to think so as far as character profiles. But my continuing mission to head into her stories was only started recently... I know her character has been all over the place, which is part of the reason said continuing mission is taking a while. I'm trying to avoid anything horrendous.)

Even if he was the age he looked, it'd still be illegal.

Oh, Tana, Tana, Tana. I really want to like you, but. But.

She did try to break up with him several times on the grounds of "you are too damned YOUNG" but his charming way of saving her life tended to bring them back together. It did mostly stick that time she broke up with him and then was kidnapped for several months -- they only got to reunite & hug for maybe a minute before she was brutally murdered. I really feel bad for Tana. :/ (eta: I'm also pretty sure she never had sex with him. And I'm not entirely sure SB and Knockout got it on...)

I kind of like Roxy better than Tana as a character, because she grows more, y'know?

This is because you don't actually know that much about him.

By the time I started getting into comics this run was over and he'd been beefed up and injected with angst over on the Titans. So no, I never saw much of this run. It wasn't until her name was used in the comments that I realized who she was.

Not being able to understand random panels with no names or context isn't reallythat surprsing.

I really prefer the earlier stuff, I must admit.Tana and Roxy and Dubblex and Guardian, and Mick and Serling etc. etc. I like Superboy and the Ravers better than Young Justice, much of the time.

No, I suppose not.

You know, if you wanted to post some highlights of the runs and get me up to speed I'd like that!

Actually that's been a problem I've had with a lot of your posts, I rarely understand what you're talking about so I never comment. Hope you haven't taken my lack of comments as a lack of interest.

I don't know if it's something I could summarize/give high poitns for. If I get struck with a fit of crazy, I might start posting reviews for storylines or character spotlights or something. I know it's possible to get the entire series in cbrs.

Some of them are injokes, or things I post to remind myself of soemthing later.
