eliyes: they had barfed on the carpet under taichara's old monitor, and then buried it under a plastic bag, and a few cloth ones
lizblackdog: loololol cats
eliyes: 2 oval barfs, both hard as hockey pucks and moldy, but only one had spread it's mold into the carpet
lizblackdog: I never understand why anyone thinks dogs are grosser
eliyes: racing their science projects!
lizblackdog: cats SO win
eliyes: fortunately the mold scrubbed out easy with a little peroxide and shampoo and water
lizblackdog: gross noises, gross smells, badly chosen barf spots, stealth pissing
lizblackdog: Cats win on every level
eliyes: fucking cats, man *facepalm*
lizblackdog: right?
eliyes: right
lizblackdog: also the science project must be on the internet
eliyes: on the Ell Jay, perhaps?
lizblackdog: because I also found hidden! aged! catpuke this morning

I was always fascinated by the fact that when our outdoor cats puked in the summer (usually after hitting the catnip in the garden) it would kind of boil up into this strange orange meringue-looking thing.

I tried to figure out why at once point. Either nobody has talked about it because of the ick-factor or my librarian-fu skills weren't as good back then.

It was very strange to have a garden full of orange-colored meringues, though. :D

. . .I guess I better start looking around the apartment when I get home. *Snickers.* I so wish I could train a cat to go to a hard surface to throw up on.

The other day I was in the washroom and Soci was sitting on the tank of the toilet. He started heaving. I put him on the floor. He made a break for the carpet.

For soem reason our cats hate barfing on easy-to-clean linoleum. They will move to a carpeted area. They will resist all attempts to keep them on linoleum. If this resistance is unsuccessful, they will attempt to barf on cloth or paper instead.

But somtime sone of them will try to puke down the tub drain.

I'm suddenly glad that, for all of Mousie's interest in science, she tends to puke in the sink.

Clearly Mousie is running a different lab entirely and is practicing measures to keep from contaminating her data set.
