MTV interviewer asks Marina Sirtis inappropriate question.
Jonathan Frakes begins laughing hysterically.
Marina answers very dryly.
Jonathan has to cover his face with his hand and cross everything to muffle his continuing mirth.

...I love the actors' friendship; I started off disliking both their characters quite a bit, but eventually the genuine ebil affection that shone through from the actors (and JFrakes general silliness) won me grudgingly over.

(Deanna's powers are still ridiculous.)

I generally feel bad for Sirtis, because she seems like a cool dude and her character sucked sooooo baaaaaaad.

Troi got awesome in the later seasons.

"Face of the Enemy" is a whole lot of fun, frex.

Neh, I've seen the entire series multiple times.

Still can't stand her.

I like "Face of the Enemy" but Kirk did it first. ;3 And at the time, I wasn't impressed. I defaced a Deanna Troi action figure. We are talking some serious childhood distain, here.

Those two need their own sitcom. :D

You mean Rikers In Space?

I dunno, man, their adventures are already continuing in the Titan books, aren't they?

I'd watch it!

The Titan books, yes, they are.

But I love the actors' performances, regardless of the characters they play. I could see them as the happily married couple that aids a protagonist in a detective show or something.

...I don't think Terry Mann would appreciate being replaced with JFrakes, kiff.

That's because most sitcoms suck

Who said anything about replacing? THEY WOULD BE A TEAM! :D :D :D

Yeah, that's probably why.

I hope you're planning to provide Bob with Fred, otherwise he's going to get terribly jealous.

If you really want to see Martina and Frakes have fun on a series, get GARGOYLES. They get to play villians, and they're the reason so many Star Trek alumni did guest voices -- whenever they got a new script, they'd go "We know someone who'd be *perfect* for the role!".

I don't need to get it, I watched it on TV when it aired. :3c

Deanna's powers weren't ridiculous, they were actually quite impressive. How they were handled was ridiculous.

How they were handled is what makes them ridiculous. She can sense the emotions on someone on a planet she's orbitting because she can see their face on the view screen, but she can't pick out the murderer on the ship she's on? Distance not a factor, it seems. That's ridiculous.

Well, she's actually focussing on the person in the view screen. Close proximity to so many people, many with very strong emotions, probably makes it much harder to isolate individual people through the background noise.

That does not make sense when what she is seeing on the screen is a subspace transmission from another part of the galaxy. There has to be a limit to her range!
