Today a Tibetan princess is here marrying our local Buddha. I saw their picture in the newspaper; she's very beautiful, and he surprised me bery much by being a grown man - last time I saw him, he was 14. (Kind of brings home how long I've been in this city.) The ceremony today is open to the public, but I don't think I shall be getting to attend, since I've just gotten home froma 10 hour graveyard shift and need to snatch a few hours sleep before going to pick up my paycheque and run about town.
But it's exciting anyway!
I'm not Buddhist myself (although my godfather is), and have some philosophical disagreements with some tenets of the religion, but that doesn't stop me from wishing them the best and all prosperity. To peace!
