True, but that's not reall the same as, Black or white, outside the law or within Black or white, it's Javert or Valjean -- and it works for Javert having a "black or white" view of the world, which Valjean has just severely disrupted. I wonder if it's sung with as much vicious desperation as the English, There is nothing on Earth that we share! It is either Valjean or Javert!
