The mutiny on the Bounty happened before the Battle of Trafalgar.

Everyone has either an encyclopedia or access to Wiki. There is no excuse for that kind of history bonk. I'm surprised the editor didn't catch it...

If you want it to! :D You'd also make a pretty good Ralph, I feel. (Even though I'm the redhead.)

P.S. Please to be picturing this: Rum Tum Tugger, with the most long-suffering expression ever a cat has worn, pinned by the neck to the floor while Mister Mistophelees determinedly grooms his ears and neck.

because I have been picturing it for over a week now, and I had to share.

This is the most beautifully AHAHAHAHA image, ever.

Tuxedo Boy is the only one who could get away with it, too. X3

He is! RTT is Mr. contrariwise, grass-is-greener -- Mr. M is the only cat who can be/have/do both at once. Something to aspire to. *wink*

Do you mind telling me where in the book that mistake pops up? I somehow managed to miss it (probably because it was pretty late at night when I was reading), and the history major in me is cringing that I didn't notice.

The battle of Trafalgar happened between the previous two books.

But where did it say that the Bounty happened after that? I mean, this book is obviously set during the mutiny against Bligh during the Rum Rebellion (1809, I suppose? - since it's mentioned that it's been a year since Bligh was removed from power, and that happened in 1808), and when the mutiny on the Bounty is mentioned in the book I didn't notice it implying that it had taken place recently. In fact, pg. 15 seemed to imply that it had definitely taken place well in the past. Unless I missed something?

(By the way, I just had to comment on the awesomeness of you having a Percy icon.)

What you're missing is not so much something in the book so much as a piece of information, that being that I have not read the book. I picked it up in the store, read the info flap on the dust cover, facepalmed (because it reads that the mutiny on the bounty is happening in the book, not in the past), and set the book back on the shelf.
