cat news

I'm going to cautiously say that my cat is on the road to recovery. She had enough energy to run away from me when I went to medicate her this evening (don't worry, I caught her), and she ate from the actual cat food dish at least once. I'm thinking the anti-biotic shot the vet gave her might be a big help. I'll still keep feeding her the baby food until it's gone, though. Oh, and Tai bought a slicker brush -- we groomed the cat until we had enough fur to make another cat. A chubby one. In this heat, that can only help. She's still sneezing and snocking and other bizarre noises, but I am feeling cautiously optimistic.

If she doesn't have a OH GOD WHY WATER moment, sometimes we put a damp towel in the freezer then, once it's stiff, lay it on the ground for kitties to sleep on. It's a good way to cool them off, in a pinch. :D

I'm pretty sure she would have an OH GOD WHY WATER moment, but I might do it anyway.

As soon as she is over her illness, she is getting a bath, though. I don't wanna talk about how much she's sneezed on herself, or the way she drools copiously to try to get rid of her meds.

Eh. I wrap her in a towel, and afterwords I scrub her with a washcloth.

Incidentally, did you choose that icon because the smoke/steam around Archie looks like foaming saliva, or is that just a handy coincidence?
