There was a chance that the guy supposed to work tonight would call in sick, again, and I would have to fill in, again, and then have Friday off. He has called in not-sick-enough-to-stay-home and so I get at least one of my nights off as scheduled. THANK GOD. *falls over*

Yesterday was just a shitty day, and stuff kept coming up. It actually got somewhat farcical after awhile, which at least meant my mood improved due to the "wtf this can't be happening" factor, so that by the time I want to bed and my curtain rod suddenly snapped and dumped my drapes on the floor, I didn't even react beyond a snort and an eyeroll. (Does it count as an eyeroll if you've already closed your eyes? Oh, and fear not -- the window isn't over my bed, so I wasn't smothered or anything.)

As regards the computer situation, a tech-savvy friend will be looking at it when he gets a chance and meanwhile I'll just leave the box off and use Chekov. I can't play DVDs (or mah jongg -- the screen is too small ;o; ) but I can connect to the net and do my other online crap, so chances are good that I won't go on a killing rampage. Yay! ♥

I'm gonna buy myself some ice cream.

Yeah. God knows how old it is, it came with the apartment. Fortunately the grommets are still in the wall and pretty much the perfect size to slip a safety pin over, so my curtain is technically up again. This is important to me, seeing as I live on the ground floor.
