payday impulse buying

I bought a Star Trek TOS communicator keychain. X3 It makes sounds! Phaser fire, and a bunch of quotes. The most appropriate one is probably "Kirk to Enterprise. Enterprise... Enterprise, come in. Kirk to Enterprise." There also some Bones and some Spock. Yes.

All of these I tested in the store.

And then I got it home, took it out of the packaging, closed the metal mesh* lid, opened it again -- and it made the noise. The "opening a communicator" noise! ♥ Oh, I am ridiculously happy.

eta: Oh ho! Closing the communicator resets the soundclip loop! :D


* Actually plastic. It is a keychain, after all.

I bought it at Monster Comics Lounge. I didn't see another one there, and in fact I'm pretty sure Stefan wasn't actually supposed to sell it, as it was on the "look at our nifty toys" shelf. XD
