In the Mutant X 'verse, it's Dr. Henry Francis McCoy, as opposed to the main 'verse's Henry Philip McCoy.

Yeah, they can't seem to remember what his middle name is ... you'd think they'd have a list of people's full names, at the very least.

Well hey -- alternate reality. That Hank has green fur, digitigrade legs, hooves...

Ungulate legs, actually, considering they end with cloven hooves. Hank in 616 should just stop whining about the blue furry catness, considering what *might* have popped out of his genes...

Ah, true. Alex should totally sit him down and explain about his kickass mentally handicapped green counterpart. Although since the hooves and such were an alteration he picked up during Inferno, sfaik, they might not be from his genes (but then again they might).

Oh God I don't need to start collecting this series... -_-

Actually, he saw a lot of the possibilities in the pretty bad Endangered Species crossover. I rather liked the sorceror who *still* did his magic while upside down; Hank remains Hank, no matter what he's doing.

But why if comic book writers are trying to write a scientist don't they get their science-geek friends to vet the details for them? I swear, I'm going to have to drop Astonishing if Ellis has Hank (and it's *not* "Henry",damnit!) say one more piece of gibberish in place of an easily researched scientific detail.

Yes, but I don't think any of them were amphibious. I could be wrong. I am wrong. One of the dude he sees looks like Brute. AND! That Brute is fighting against Dark Beast. Dark Beast, not Brute -- the very same as the one Hank has to bother with, down to the earrings. WTH?

I can't bring myself to read Astonishing, honestly, and that's just one reason why. :/ Ellis is semi-notorious for having a spotty research record. Sometimes he's great, and other times not so much.
