Actually, he's not officially Chuck at all. They never named the character, but the actor is Chuck, and so they started writing "Chuck" in the scripts, and then Torri called him Chuck during a scene that made it into the final cut, so yeah.
But everyone on set calls him The Chucknician. He's even got a t-shirt that says it.
