Instead of favourites, I just went with the first 15 that came to mind that I could think of a quote for off the top of my head. That way, these are all movies that I, at least, find memorable in terms of dialogue, which hopefully increases the chances someone will recognise each one. (Also, I'm very very bad at picking favourites.)

Oh, and I tried to avoid musicals, because they're sort of cheating. (But there's at least one in here. ;3 )

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions.
[That one's a rule for you who may guess].

ETA: well, it's been 5 days since the last guess, so I think I'll add a second quote to the unguessed ones. :D

1. Where I come from, we talk to our women. We do not drug them with plants.

b. Fuck me, he cleared it!

2. I want my father back you son of a bitch. The Princess Bride guessed by [livejournal.com profile] random_redshirt

3. I think we're looking up the ass-end of a dead dog, but it's worth a try.

b. I take back every rust-pickin', squid-hatin' thing I've ever said about swabbies!

4. You want to compare brainpans? I won the Westinghouse prize when I was 12, big deal. Published at 19, so what. I got a double doctorate from MIT at 22, Chemistry and Geology. I taught at Princeton for two and a half years. Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?

b. Imagine a firecracker in the palm of your hand. Set it off, what happens? You burned your hand. Now, take another firecracker and close it in your fist... Your wife will be opening your ketchup bottles the rest of your life.
Armageddon guessed by [livejournal.com profile] candyflosskillr

5. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? // Don't be ridiculous. It's too dangerous. They're only children. // Exactly. Who would suspect them? The Chipmunk Adventure guessed by [livejournal.com profile] teriyakibroth

6. I just want you to know, that I felt completely safe in your arms, and I never said that to a man before.

b. Crazy, is that it, you just wanna drive me crazy, is that it? // No Dad, we just wanna DRIVE... but the MAN wont LET us.

7. Those were $500 sunglasses, asshole! Mortal Kombat guessed by [livejournal.com profile] kermitdef

8. Oh God I can't take it! I gotta kill this nut before I kill myself! Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie guessed by [livejournal.com profile] teriyakibroth

9. Well, I take my share of risks. Uh-huh. Um, I don't always floss. I rip the tags off my pillows.

b. You know, what's frightening me is, I'm starting to think that you're not delusional.

10. What can I say? I am an asshole.

b. I like you. But I don't like the way you say with your face all scrunched up, "you're French, aren't you?" And then I don't like how you say, with your eyes all squinty, "all men are bastards."

11. Well, I don't have any flowers, I wouldn't mind seeing the black underwear, but under the circumstances, I don't think we should move in together.

b. I've had a really lousy Christmas, you've just managed to kill my New Year's -- if you come back on Easter, you can burn down my apartment!

12. Shut up, shut up, shut up! // Must go faster. Must go faster! Must go faster! Go, go, go, go! Independence Day guessed by [livejournal.com profile] naiveprophet

13. They had this look in their eyes, totally animal. I think they were young Republicans.

b. All I want to do is graduate from high school, move to Europe, marry Christian Slater, and die.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer guessed by [livejournal.com profile] candyflosskillr

14. Uh, betray us, and I will fong you, until your insides are out, your outsides are in, your entrails will become your extrails I will w-rip... all the p... ung. Pain, lots of pain. A Knight's Tale guessed by [livejournal.com profile] syvia

15. My dear chap, I never would have dreamt of depriving you of your moment of triumph. Alas, a moment was all I could spare. The Scarlet Pimpernel guessed by [livejournal.com profile] kiffie

That's the one! I was surprised to see it was actually called The Chipmunk Adventure when I went looking for a proper quote. It was really hard to find a good quote that didn't have a give away name in it. X3

Ooh, lucky.
I was pretty fond of the show, but I think I do like the movie better. Also, I think Pike somehow split into Spike and Xander... Which is probably disturbing to Spander shippers. XD
Sometimes I entertain fond thoughts of doing a crossover between movie!Buffy and, say, Lost Boys or Monster Squad. Lost Boys works better due to geography, and you could always say Merrick and David were related back when David was human! >3

I can't decide which I like better, I'm so conflicted... and yeah, now that you mention it, the Pike character being split over Spike and Xander in the series sounds right on.

I'm gonna have a duh moment now - what's Monster Squad? Oh and I'd totally read a Buffy/Lost Boys crossover, lol, awesome idea even if it never comes to fruition, the very thought is entertaining... esp. the comic book boys and the scoobie squad teaming up. *gets a faraway dreamy look on face*

Monster Squad is an awesome movie wherein a group of kids (the eldest of whom is 14) fight a coalition of monsters with the world at stake. They have the help of Van Helsing's diary, a concentration camp survivor, a turncoat monster, and a beagle. Features cursing, fun with dynamite, guns, compound bows used to fire wooden stakes, blackmail, and an awesome treehouse HQ.

It had it's 20th anniversary last year and I bought it for myself as a birthday present and watched it on All Hallows Eve. >3

Some awesome quotes:
"Mummy came in my house."
"Kick him in the nards! Kick him in the nards!" // "Wolfman don't have nards!" // "Just do it!"
"I'm in the god damned club, ain't I?"
...and the rest of the really awesome ones kinda spoil really awesome moments but trust me, it's wonderful. And cheesy. And wonderful. I am in love with Rudy even though he is only 14. He's like James Dean on a bicycle. <3 <3 <3
