Apparently in Australia the rule is that all jokes must be played by midday on the 1st. Two coworkers took a strange amount of offense at the idea...
(I am standing by the idea that Thinkgeek needs to make the Voltron cat tree for real, though...)

I would probably back a rule like that.
(Voltron licensing is a huge mess, alas. But I bet a lot of DIYers will make their own versions.)
