If you'd been eavesdropping on my apartment this morning, you would have heard this:
"ACK! Cat full of muffin! Muffin full of cat!" D:
...underscored by continuous, oblivious purrs.

So, last night, instead of typing up and posting a fic to be betaed, I wrote another fic. A longer one, 6 and a half pages or so. It involves a giant argument. I suspect I was influenced by my irritation that I couldn't get the internet to work.

I also watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (since I don't need the net to play a DVD), which was both a pleasant surprise and a bit of a let down. I love Perry's car and/or cars. (He has a convertable, and it's possible he also has a hard-top, or else the convertible looks a hell of a lot like a hard-top when the roof's up.) Silver with white interiour. Ooh. Also liked when he admitted "I'm not a nice man". You know, that movie showed pretty much every part of the female body nude, but we didn't see so much as a naked male nipple. Even the boxed dancers were painted. Rar.

....Can anyone tell me how to find out the name of a trendy expensive date restaurant in Manhattan? I just need a name, not even an interiour description. There must be lists somewhere online, right? Reviewers? What should I search for?

Google Manhattan. The second hit has a subset of 'refining results'; Dining Guides looks like what you'll need. Then this page gives you over 1000 listings. Go to town, baby! <g>

For the record, I've been surprised about what I can find on the 'Net with a simple little Google querry. When I wrote my "Misty Solitudes" story, I found a list of business and eateries for the town I was using -- and it's only 10,000 people. It just takes a little time, and can be a whole lot of fun.

Wheee! Thanks. :3

I knew there had to be a resource or ten on the web, because it's New York City -- and the city where I live (in Canada) has a crazy amount of resources and reviewers online. But, living here, I know to check thecoast.ca -- I don't what a similar thing would be for The Big Apple.

Thanks! It's about superheroes. :3 They kept the use of their superpowers during the giant argument to a bare minimum, though, so they are in fact two guys yelling and gestulating wildly and slamming doors. Caused quite a scene with the complex full of other superheroes and also superheroes-to-be. ;D Maybe I'll touch on that in a follow-up...

And you were both funny as hell :D

She's got the dumb. *deaddesk* Fortunately this means she was only mildly interested while I was scooping chocolate off of her fur, and then picking her fur out of my muffin.

She was much more interested in watching me lick the crumbs off my fingers, and the expression on her face was a little scary. Kind of "Are you edible?" I'm shocked I didn't wake up to her licking my armpits again, but I thi nk the heavier quilt makes it harder. She did come stand on my face when I was trying to go to sleep.

Yes, it's true, you're right. It wa sjust frustrating because my computer was connecting to the network, the network just didn't seem to be connected to the internet... until I plugged the line abck into where it should have been, then the default computer worked fine. But it has no keyboard. *sigh*

Really, if it means writing fanfic, I shouldn't complain.

So, does she taste good with chocolate?

(Damn it, now I want my chocolate book and I have no space in my backpack.)

I'm shocked I didn't wake up to her licking my armpits again, but I think the heavier quilt makes it harder. She did come stand on my face when I was trying to go to sleep.

It's like she's trying to channel Peaches and Kit, all at once.

.. I wonder if she maybe has a salt deficiency ..? Neh, she's just a freak.

And this is why you always plan for contingencies, and never depend on the work connection you addict you.

Indeed *snerks*

So-so.

Maybe you taste good with chocolate.

You realise what a strange conversation this is to be having? XD

.. I wonder if she maybe has a salt deficiency ..?

That might explain her randomly licking my hands or even my elbows, but my armpits?

Neh, she's just a freak.

Yes.

The musk is probably interfering.

That's what I figure. I don't get how the short-haired cat smells deliciously of cat, but the long-haired cat smells like sort of musky, dusty ramen.

Yes, and armpits sweat, but armpits also taste like they smell and also it lingers on the tongue, as I have discovered by occasional terrible moments of absentminded wherein I scratch my armpit, adn then, shortly thereafter, lick my fingertip to turn a page in a book. AUGHHHH.

....Maybe she craves garlic! O.O

Maybe the longer fur attracts all the rest of the dust and random cruft that seems to accumulate in whatever apt. we're in despite my best efforts.

Given what else cats can lick and not care, I doubt that's a problem. Besides, one man's poison is another man's meat ...

Unlike the cat, I am not doing it deliberately. B|

Maybe she does -- Shura begs for it, remember?

Shura also drapes pepperoni she has no intention of eating over her food, apparently to give the cat food a bit more flavour.

Naw, nothing so devious. My muffin fell on the long-haired feline on my lap. Large amounts of chocolate muffin crumbs deposited themselves on her fur, and many insidious long cat hairs deposited themselves on my muffin. Which I ate anyway. Hey, extra protein...
