So, yesterday, while leaving my apartment to go to work, I tripped and fell down 4 rough concrete steps. There is skin on the inside of my right pant leg which was once attached to my body. Pray let me get those pants washed soon. One of my neighbours pulled in while I was wiping away my tears (I am a sissy - it's not the pain, it's the upset of falling) and trying to get up the courage to check under said pant leg. He hadn't seen me fall, but he realised I'd hurt myself, made sure I could wiggle my toes and stand and such, and drove me to work.

Yes, I got in a car with a strange man. He told me his name (in the car) but I can't remember what he looks like. Nice car, though.

So, got to work, there's a reception going on. Bummer. Only actually not, because they left soon after I got there and the caterers gave me AN ENTIRE BLUEBERRY PIE! Which I couldn't finish and may have forgotten to throw away before leaving work this morning. Oops. Tonight there will be a wedding reception, which promises to be longer and involve more drinking and people making catty comments as they walk into the bathroom. Joy. (I'm bringing Wicked to finish, and maybe an ethnography or art history book.)

Oh, and I wrote a short fic. It's Jean-Paul and Bobby, there's a little innuendo, and I need a beta because I'm not sure it's finished. I had to stop writing because my pen ran out of ink! (With gel pens, it's really sudden, I discovered. You finish a sentence with a nice strong colour, and you start the next one a translucent ghostly green.) I think it could end there, or maybe I need to add something. *flail* And I still haven't finished Part four of the velvet shirt fic!

I forgot to respond to this much earlier. The answer to your pie question is: no, you did not put it away. I know this because on my next shift it was sitting up by the PA where NO ONE apparently noticed it at all. I swear, the blindness and stupidity of some ppl. In particular, one other big-thick-glasses-wearing guard who seems like she needs a new prescription. She never notices ANYTHING. The things I gotta fix every time I relieve her is eye-twitching. /End of rant

Damn.

Oh, you mean things like it being midnight and the front doors not being properly secured? And all the lights left on on the second floor and in the SCG? And the flag up? (I can't believe there's soemone who forgets the flag more than I do!)
