The subject of the icon is Angel, from the RENT movie, and the line of text is "I'll cover you", which is from the love song he sings with Collins. I love that song. This particular shot of Angel is from the end of the movie when Mark and Roger are screening the film Mark has made about his friends throughout the story. It's poignant, because Angel is, by this point, dead.
Angel is a very loving, giving, friendly person, and when he passes away the group of friends split up for a bit, feeling that he was the glue that held them together, and having trouble coping with the loss. It doesn't help that he died of AIDS and that three of the surviving cast also have AIDS and are thus forcefully reminded of their own situations and imperiled mortality...
I really like RENT, and I liked this icon. It's supportive and a little bittersweet all at once.
