Paul Gross quotes
Aug. 11th, 2006 10:31 pmSince she knows I fell face and eyes back into the due South fandom recently,
sinfonica provided me with these two quotes from Paul Gross (who plays Fraser) on slash fanfiction, which he seems quite pleased by.
"I suppose the character is public ground. If you're willing to bring it into people's houses every week, the [fans] are entitled to certain liberties, wherever their imagination is carried by those characters." - Paul Gross (actor) on due South slash fanfiction, quoted in the Toronto Globe & Mail, August 8, 1998.
I like this one especially since I get a real kick out of Ray Kowalski and think Paul's right on the money here - but the show makes it so easy! ;3
"I tell you, slash fiction is going to go crazy when they see the new guy. He is really good-looking and sexy, the dangerous side of Fraser. It will be totally homoerotic." - Paul Gross (actor) on the Fraser/Kowalski subtext in due South, quoted in Elm Street magazine, October 1997.
...Now take into account that Paul Gross was the Executive Producer on the seasons with the new sexy Ray and the homoerotic whatever...
