Jeffrey Combs was in an episode of The Flash (the 1990-91 live-action show). He played a crime boss named Jimmy Swain in the Captain Cold episode.

Considering the series is most known for Mark Hamill's multi-episode portrayal of the Trickster, I now have a dead-easy way to jump from Star Trek to Star Wars in a game of six degrees.

Combs was also on B5, it's so much fun playing spot the Sci-Fi actor!

It is! He seems to do a lot of horror, too, which makes it funny that he voiced the Scarecrow in some of the animated Batman shows. And The Question, of course.

And apparnetly Ratchet in Transformers Prime, but I am going to ignore that because I don't know how much Prime deviates from G1 and thus whether my feelings of "that is so wrong" are appropriate.

I have learned that Combs is everywhere! (and B5 is completely awesome!)

I barely remember G1 so I don't have that problem....except with Soundwave, nobody else has ever gotten him right.

He really is. I'd like to see him in something with Anthony Starke. (B5 is completely awesome except certain very specific bits that happened around and following the end, which we needn't discuss.)

*holds up the first two bigass hardcover trades each for the first US and UK Transformers series* G1 is my favourite.

So far the biggest problem I've had with B5 was the episode Exogenesis. So STUPID! And you know what's horrible? Remember Byron? Lyta's storyline with him was supposed to go to Ivanova!!!!!

I prefer Beast Wars myself.

I prefer lesbian Ivanova, myself. Besides, the storyline with Byron was just... augh. I never really liked Lyta, so at least it didn't damage her character in any way I cared about.

I am aware of this. I watched it and enjoyed a lot of it. Rattrap ♥

Ivanova/Talia OTP. I've always resented Lyta for killing Talia.

I actually hated Rattrap for years. Dinobot too. I was a Predacon boy. Loved Tarantulas, Blackarachnia and Inferno.

I've sometimes wondered if that was some kind of geeky homage to Jean Grey/Phoenix beating Emma Frost in a telepath fight.

Inferno's a riot but I hate spiders. And plus I was confused, because there's an Inferno in G1. (And a Silverbolt.)

Nope. Just one character replacing anouther. Talia replaced Lyta as the super telepath and replaced Laurel Takashima as the one with the sleeper personality. Lyta was written out after the pilot because Pat Talman was pregnant so when Talia's actress wanted out they activated the sleeper personality, which had already been set up, and brought Lyta back in to pick up her original storyline. There was a way to bring Talia back, two actually, but as the actress had wanted to leave they never used it.

And considering Lyta was just a P5 at the time and Talia was strong enough to overpower Psi Cops (rated P12) it's more liek if Sage had beaten Phoenix Jean in a mental fight.

Spiders are creepy awesome! I have a thing for big bugs so I found the Predacons far more appealing than the Maximals. What was Rhinox thinking when he chose his form? Oh, I'll just pick a form with no natural weapons and no hands. Why would the smart guy need hands? I'm sure that will never bute us all in the ass.

Yes, I know all that, I was making a joke based on their respective appearence.

Did you seriously just say that rhinos have no natural weapons? What about the horns on their faces that they core people and animals with when they charge? I'm pretty sure that counts! Not that you'd expect a genius to want to literally hit people with his own face, but if that's not wher ehe keeps his actual brains, being a transforing robot, I suppose it makes more sense. I'm pretty sure they ships chose the forms, however, not the individuals.

We're talking about robots here. A horn and the need to charge are not all that much. There's a reason he only used his beast mode like twice after season one.
