I just found a WWII-era machine shop notice that predates the original blinkenlights thing (which is from the 1950s) and gave myself a Captain America bunny. ^^;

I can't craft a suitably mangled response, but I understood all of it, and had a good chuckle. (Actually, I laughed through the whole thing as I puzzled out the meaning, and Mom asked, "What's so funny?" so I read it to her.) Nicely done.

Oh, I only wish I could take credit for the authoring of this! This is actually the text of a notice that started appearing (unofficially posted by early hack-minded workers) in computer labs as early as 1956.
