No, probably not. As cute as Ursula's various rat and mouse paintings are, Piper didn't take up with rats until he was well and truly cracked in the brain. His on-going association with them demonstrates his continued mental instability. James will have noticed that, no doubt, and I doubt he'd want to exacerbate it or do anything implying it might be permanent.

If he ever manages to get a better grip on sanity, he may keep a few as pets, true, but I for one will be happy if the rats go away, because I'd like Piper back, please. I say this as someone with nothing in particular against rats, who has lived with rodents of all kinds as pets. It's not the rats I bject to. I just want DC to stop making Piper's life hell. ;_;

Too true, going strictly canon. I was thinking more along the silly-fun fanon building up in Piper-Trickster comm fanfic.

I'd like to think Comics will give us back the Piper as social activist and Wally's sidekick/sound tech man but I'd don't think so....I don't *trust* tptb. Flashpoint....

Nor do I. Have you seen the solicits for August (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/05/17/dc-looking-to-relaunch-everything-in-september/)? Everything is ending. And then in September everything starts with a #1. I don't trust it.

....yeah, that looks bad. (and is also why it's so hard for me to get into comics fandom in the first place. The constant relaunching and renumbering is confusing.)
