So I'm in bed, about 90% asleep, just aware enough to note that my cat has wedged herself between my arm adn the rest of me and is purring and kneading my bicep, and no doubt drooling with joy.
Suddenly, the wake-up alarm in my cell phone goes off right next to her head.
Before I even identify the source of the irritatingly jaunty "tune" and flail and arm towards it, the cat has sprung away and is out of the room.
(That was nearly half an hour ago; she's now being very sooky.)
