Nepal has added a category for transgendered people to their census. I think.

I'm not really seeing how that's beneficial, seeing as someone who is transgendered is still male or female.

A category for someone who slots into neither would have been more useful, and less telling transgendered they aren't "really" their gender.

I kind of wonder what the most accurate translation of the term they're using on the census is, because some news articles were using "third gender" instead of "transgender". I don't know if they meant a third gender category, or what...
