A bunch of really random recs
Mar. 11th, 2010 03:18 amSherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century
Verging on one of his "black moods", Lestrade and Holmes dance around the things they don't talk about in Holmes' past: Ennui
Star Trek (original pilot)
We know practically nothing about Number One, so there's a lot of speculation as to her origins. This is my favourite: The Potatoes of Defiance
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
My favourite Bashir/Garek fic to date: Opacity of Paradise
Star Trek: The Next Generation
A WIP that takes the episode "Deja Q" (where Q was stripped of his powers) and tells the story of what might have happened if he hadn't been saved by Q2. Will very likely turn into Q/Picard at some point: Working In Groups
NCIS
Genderswap makes slash couples het, but I don't seem to mind in this case. Antonia DiNozzo/Gibbs, and probably the best representation of how Tony's issues and coping mechanisms look when you really think about them that I have ever seen: (Un)covered
NCIS
A hilarious Tony/Tim story that I really enjoyed: These Things Do Happen
The Sentinel
This fandom has a fair number of stories where the boys (finally!) realise they're in a relationship. Here's one I just found the other day and enjoyed: The Classification of Waterfowl
due South
Post-series kidfic just really doesn't cover it. This story is awesome and very absorbing and shows some of my favourite aspects of Ray Kowalski: his compassion, and his involvement with his old neighbourhood. Tip, Slide, Tumble
Marvel'verse (comics, including X-Men and Fantastic Four)
Author's summary: "The first night of Passover finds Shadowcat, the Thing, Iceman, and Sabra on a mission." It's interesting to see four characters discuss their different views of their faith -- and, of course, their frustration at being made to work when they were getting together for a party! (More people need to write Sabra!) B'chol Dor Vador, In Every Generation
So, that's what I've been reading lately. How about you?
