Nothing like waking up to the news that your shift doesn't start until an hour after you thought it did, so you can go back to bed.

Which I did.

This, of course, lead to some wonky dreams. Now, I can't say I remember all the details. I know I apparently took a bus to visit [livejournal.com profile] cats_n_crying, except for some reason he lived in the small town where previously I had dreamed [livejournal.com profile] crazedbluejay lived, which features, among other things, a "lake" (more like a pond) in which there is a half-sunken steamboat on which lives a vampire. This time the vampire did not have a party. Nor did I actually get to see Heffie - he couldn't meet me, because something had happened to his Mom, so I ended up travelling home with these scientists. Can't remember much more that labcoats. Agatha Heterodyne might have been there, there was a blonde woman with big glasses and I've been reading a lot of Girl Genius.

Something something ...I ended up back in town, and actually in the apartment building I used to live in, except while that was definitely the location, the interiour was more like a mishmash of the museum, the place where [livejournal.com profile] taichara works, Granville Mall, and the Rice residence on campus. There was soemthing about sausages mentioned at this point, but I don't know what. [livejournal.com profile] teriyakibroth was there, but short, male, with curly blond hair, and afflicted with a drunken anime dad and an evil sorceror brother who filled the room with beans, which is nothing like her or her dad and brother. Okay, maybe a little bit her brother.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] miss_shannon was there, with a notebook withwhich she was trying to work out some wedding budgetting, and a bunch of us plus some very football-player-esque guys piled into the elevator, and when we got out it was the bus stop. Thank god; if it had turned into another dream about dark apartments from which emerge axe-wielding angels, I don't think I could have coped. There was some very confused conversation as we waited for the bus, and I had to fetch my house keys out of a tree. Then a ringing noise started, and I thought it was the fryer beeping because the sausages were done, so I started looking for it. But I couldn't find it. Everyone at the bus stop was checking cell phones and other gadgets, and I picked up my cell phone, hoping maybe it was Heffie calling to update me about his Mom and/or his play, but all I got was static.

Around this point I figured out that in fact it was my real phone ringing and I was asleep and should get up and go get that. After the phone conversation (yay Exalted!) I went back to my room to discover that my new glasses had apparently spent the night in the vicinity of my pillow. So, I bent them back into shape. Oopsie.

I've already made my lunch for work, now I need to get some breakfast into me and get changed and, you know, go to work.
