Just a few random things...

Damn, I love Jim Kirk.

♠ I wish we knew more about Cygnet XII. It was mentioned in the TOS episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" as being dominated by women, and when the Enterprise stopped there to get some general maintenance done on their computers, the technicians there decided the computers needed more personality, so they programmed one. A flirty, giggly one that calls Kirk "dear". What is their society like? I can't help but think that this was supposed to be some kind of prank based on how they think Earth men see women...

♠ Well the mirror tells a different story
Then the one that’s playing in my mind
Every time I swear I’m looking younger
The more lines that I find

I guess I learned to trade youth for wisdom
And lust in for romance
It’s all written in the stages and
Phases in life’s little dance

When I want to bitch about growing old,
I think about how many never had a chance…

It gives me something to believe in

♠ KIFFIE -- assuming it's still around in some form in TNG-era, what would you think Volkswagen would be up to?

♠ Now they don't call her Queen of Sparta
Thanks to that selfish boy
They don't call her Zeus's daughter
She's just "Helen of Troy"
She had no say in what would befall
Maybe Discord won the apple after all

Is this not adorable?

I'm guessing what companies are still around in any capacity would simply be design firms (Earth Government handling labor), but... Hmm.

My guess? Making the ugly-yet-functional shuttles we see during that era. Also probably still making the VW Bug, but powered by clean energy. I doubt that little jalopy will ever go out of style. :3

The Volkswagen Design Group (EntwurfsgruppeVolkswagen)! They could make those Work Bees!

I image Bugs would be useful on colonies, but probably with a different power source, of course.

How about small transport for use inside domed cities or stations?

*snickers*

Also, last week, I got my dad to admit that he wants a split-window Bug. While we were riding in Voodoo. And following an old, flat-window Bug down the street.

I LOL'd.

Is that a victory for VW, or a sadness for Jeeves?

Jeeves will get fixed. My dad has been talking to his mechie, discussing prices for a new fender and door. :3
