Trojan virus alert

My PC has gotten a killer worm, and I'm pretty sure I got it from fanfiction.net. Heads up, people! Keep your virus-killers handy!

Really, honestly, so do I. The virus scan has been running for two hours, has found four things so far and us still at 0% complete. D:

What are you using? I've heard good things about Malware Bytes and Spybot.

*facepalms* Yes, I realize the irony of my (default) icon. He's a virus.

I've gotten a trojan off of DeviantArt before. They just happen.

I recommend a tag-team of AVG Virus Scan and Spyware Doctor.

Spyware Doctor is a paid service, but it is VERY good. It's something like $50/year for two comps. Totally worth it.

People get weird about antivirus crap. I'm an avast! these days. *shakes head* I've got spybot on the big computer and it just seems to delete cookies. But then again, avast!...

Well, the taskmanager told me I couldn't access it without administrator access -- that's about as far as I got before my virus-check started screaming about a worm.
