Maybe not any time soon, but if enough people come to their senses -- if, in a hundred years, the entire country, the entire world* does just that -- then I doubt Michigan will be the last holdout.
So probably not soon, but possibly within the lifetime of our generation, or the next. And seeing progress now is good. :D
After all, my country made the leap before I hit 25.
I added a couple more links to my OP here, and one of them is about the rest of the states dominoing on over. The author is predicting Michigan for 2013.
I'm loving how many people on my flist are jubilant about this. :D
That's a much more sensible vow than the one I made, where if a certain guy and myself are unmarried, uninvolved, and childless at 40, we're going to attempt to kill one another. ^^; Oh, the stupid things one promises at 12 when just admitting to a crush is far too embarrassing to contemplate... I sincerely hope he's forgotten.
(I'm not sure what's wrong with that, although I point out that Taco Bell only exists as part of KFC up here, where you could gt fries and gravy anyway.)
Fries & gravy is a distinctly Canadian thing, I suppose. Taco Bells here don't have fries or anything, so seeing not just fries in a Taco Bell but fries & gravy? It really stuck with me... as odd...

Y'know, I remember the first time I was offered gravy to go with my fries at a McDonalds. I think it was 1989.
...Have you heard about poutine? ;D
