Sometime yesterday I opened a mind-boggling number of tabs off of links to various SGA fanfics for to be read when I had a chance. I somehow opened a link to a Highlander: the Series story in amongst the rest. It turned out to be a) fantastic, and b) the first of a series. It's also gen and basically about the friendship between Methos, Duncan, and Joe, with the theme of revealing Methos' true nature -- and the author sees that as something much brighter than most do. If this sounds appealing, I highly recommend checking it out. The author is D.L. Witherspoon and the first story is Called to Rise, with links to the next installment at the bottom of each. **Warning!** Towards the end, this story involves mention of the sexual abuse of children as young as 3. D| If this is triggering for you, I recommend stopping before you start on chapter/story # 6 in all it's various parts.

Of course, this means it's Talk Like a Pirate Day and all I can produce is my best (or worst X3) imitation of Peter Wingfield's accent. XD
