Okay, so, I know I said I didn't watch the first episode of Young Justice, but a little while after I posted that I discovered an undeleted copy on my netbook and figured, what the hell, might as well skip through until I at least see Superboy.
poisonivory was right, that's not Kon.
So, taking this Superboy as a different person, I have an issue. I saw a fanfic that stated that he's the Genemorph messiah. And he is. I know that from the first episode. Aside from how that's gonna be a tricky thing to handle in a cartoon aimed at the youth of America, I feel like they did that to give him some sort of hook to "be like Superman", since Superman=Jesus is a popular theme.
And just proves the writers have missed the point of Superman entirely.
I think mightygodking puts it best:

I think mightygodking puts it best:
Superman isn’t a Jesus analogue because, unlike Jesus, his moral vision is not imposed. The word of Jesus is the word of God and therefore what he says goes, dictation straight from the Almighty. Superman is the exact opposite: a man whose moral vision comes not from a source exterior to humanity but from humanity itself, via Ma and Pa Kent, who are themselves immensely decent people. He ultimately isn’t a received savior, regardless of the origin of his powers; he’s Superman, the apotheosis of what human virtue can be.
