Canon information on Andorians
@ Memory Alpha, much of which is from the series
Enterprise at this point.
Published non-canon information on Andorians
@ Memory Beta, including the artical on
fourfold Andorian sexes.
A blog that compiles information on (and particularly focuses on cataloguing appearences of Andorians:
The Andor Files.
My personal favourite novels which include or describe Andorians, mostly published before TNG was created, some of which heavily contradict later canon, include:
Memory Prime by Gar and Judith Reeves-Stevens,
Deathcount by L.A. Graf,
Dreams of the Raven by Carmen Carter, and, to a smaller degree,
Bloodthirst by J.M. Dillard.
The only TNG novel I've read with an Andorian in it is
The Eyes of the Beholders by A.C. Crispin, which I love. It doesn't support the 4-sex theory, which original appeared in post-DS9 fiction, and it offers a different background and future for Dr. Selar than what is found in the New Frontier novel series. I have yet to decide how much of this novel I plan to incorporate into my view of Andorians.
Thala is adorable, though. ♥
And here's a little something by Leslie Fish, first published in a the fanzine Sehlat's Roar in the 70s, which I have no intention of using, really, but most poke to go WTF at:
A Summary of the Physiological Roots of Andorian Culture.
