I bought HeroClix! You are surprised.
Nov. 14th, 2008 04:55 pmOkay, so the Clix for Riddler, Two-Face, Montoya!Question and Amanda Waller are actually fabulous! Much better than terribly manfaced Wonder Woman, for example. And the one for Clea isn't too bad, either, although there's a slight flaw on mine where some of the plastic squished out the mould and was just painted instead of trimmed.
Oh, yes, and an in case you missed it above: I HAVE THE WALL NOW. THAT'S RIGHT. I'm going to set her and Harvey so they're pointing their guns at each other... as soon as I figure out where the hell to put them, since there's no space at all left on my tower. Dammit.
I also picked up issues 1, 3, and 4 of Gambit and the X-Ternals, you know, the Age of Apocalypse books that have Rictor as one of the baddies. First observation: he's got tats on his back, too! eta: But only in the first ish. Huh. Also, alas, I don't have Ric making his deal with the lesser devils of the Shi'ar Empire. I do have Apocalypse killing him, almost off panel. (He seems to extend his arm, grab Rictor and we see the hair braids, one arm and a knee flail into the panel as there's an energy-blast SFX and Apocalypse yammers about Ric's death serving him loyally. I'm pretty sure it was messy as hell. D:)
Also: Roberto! ;o;

Hank and Bobby tracking, old school style
Nov. 14th, 2008 06:54 pm"No clowning around, Bobby! Our danger-room testing is serious business!" -- Scott Summers
In X-Men #40, "THE MARK of the MONSTER!".
Hank called Bobby: "my frigid little friend", "son", "my non-cognizant compeer", "lad" (twice)
Bobby called Hank: "Beastie" (thrice), "my boastful buddy", "ol' Hank"
Hank called himself: "the bounding Beast", "the gazelle-like Beast", "an unexpectedly rebounding Beast"
Bobby called himself: "this fresh-frozen, hot-headed X-Man"
And Professor X is really, really bad at remembering to call the kiddies by their code names. For realz.
