A lot of my friends have been bummed lately, all for legitimate reasons. Life is not always posies and sunshine; things that it's perfectly natural to be upset or unhappy by.
And that's probably why, when I (finally!) found a CD copy of a cassette I used to listen to all the time at Music world, I picked it up. This Child by Susan Aglukark, which a lot of non-Canadians probably haven't heard of.
This album always makes me feel better, but there's one song in particular that I always sing to myself when I'm truly down, feeling like the world has just turned against me. And while just the lyrics can't possibly convey as much as hearing the song, I'm posting this for all you guys.
( because you don't have to suffer in silence )
It's okay to express how you feel, even if you think that you're being negative or that you're imposing by being a downer. Don't keep it inside. Find someone who'll listen. Even venting your woes in an email and sending it off to a friend when you can't seem to get a hold of anyone by phone or instant messenger or whatever? That's fine. It's not rude; it's not annoying. Okay?
