UPDATE!

I got called into work from 10am to 4pm today, because the nat hist museum flooded! Hence compter access. While I was here, The landlord and the super dropped in on Tai and told her that our apartment won't be finished until around February, acknowledged that they can't really stick us where we are until then because that apartment was undergoing renovations anyway, and said that there's no problem releasing us from our lease under the circumstances, and we can stay for a bit until we have a new apartment to move to. I'm getting a copy of the key made today on my way home from work. Also, due to weather Tai's dad's ferry was delayed, but he should be here tomorrow morning at the latest, and he can hel p us apartment hunt and move.

WHEW! I guessing the landlord must have just been in a panic on Friday. But he's promised not to turf us out. YAY!
