Much less expensive DIY: repaint NERF stuff! I feel an opportunity to make awesome laser tag custom guns is out there, waiting to be seized!

Those work. This doesn't, and I doubt it plays music anymore, but it's kinda pretty...

...I really, really hope that clarinet is plastic and not wood. It's better than the ones that get turned into desk lamps, I suppose.

I can tell you right now it's 99% likely to be wood. My only hope is that the side we can't see had a crack in it or something, so they decided that it couldn't be fixed to play and recycled it for Art. :/

They're made of brass (often) and have valves -- it was inevitable, alas. ;~;
