You're a little frustrated that you can't hear all the tones that the young 'uns can but will be more than happy if it means you don't have to listen to their damn ringtones on the bus anymore. The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 14.9kHz

How weird is this? I retook the test 5 hours later and I could hear a higher tone!

You can still hear reasonably well and you can play this without my old fart colleagues hearing it which makes you feel kinda good. The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 15.8kHz

I could hear up to 16.7kHz.

I played the 17-ish one, only had the faintest feeling that sound was occuring somewhere near me, but random_redshirt perked up and went, "What frequency was that?" :D :D :D

There's a mosquito on my f-list! :D She can hear the highest tones, but she can't hear the tones I hear. BIOLOGY IS NUTS, MAN. I told my dad about this test (he's deaf) and he started quizzing me about childhood ear infections. X3

I tried it myself, and strangely, I can hear all of them except the Cs, and that last one (the F). But I can very clearly hear the E, which only dogs or mosquitoes are supposed to hear.

I think it means that the idea that people who are younger can hear higher tones is obviously not true in all cases. :D And also that I know some mosquitoes. :D
