And I really don't think a woman who collects rooster-themed decorating elements can throw stones.

Anyway.

Check it out! Hasbro is offering a "blank" My Little Pony for customizing (although I kinda wonder about the hair. I mean, when I've customized JEM dolls, I had to root new, pre-coloured hair. And it's harder to dye hair that's already rooted. Maybe it's a special texture?) and Mattel is putting out some new Barbies, such as DC's Black Canary and Supertorso Supergirl (much as I haven't enjoyed this latest version of Kara, I love this doll's hair), as well as Sandy, Rizzo, and Frenchy, for the Grease fans I know are in the audience.

AWESOME. :3

MLP hair usually soaks up dye like sponge (I almost typed "soaks up sponge like a dye" . . . ah, dyslexia! XD) but I typically reroot, because it's hard to dye the hair without dying the body the same color (unless that's what you're trying for.) DollyHair.com (http://www.dollyhair.com/) has hair that's the same material/texture as MLP hair. *G*

OMG, a Black Canary Barbie? MUST OBTAIN!

Aha! I would have thought it was less of the sponge, probably due to half-forgotten atrocities committed against my childhood Barbies. (BUZZ. CUTS.) I got into rerooting because some of my dolls were kinda... balding. Actually, my all-time favourite Barbie was one of those beach ones that you could supposedly take into the bathtub? Except the bathtub made her hair (which was black and curly) tangle and mat and fall out. D: Maybe I should try to reroot her. She's so pretty... My MLPs have never had a problem. Even my seaponies. A few of them have mysterious pink marker tattoos, though.
