bookworm without books = ficworm?
Feb. 4th, 2008 11:20 amI currently have so many SGA fanfics bookmarked that it takes me 25 rotations of the scroll wheel to reach the bottom of the list.
That's not even taking into account however many is in the series folders.
^^; Mayhap I should rec a few and possibly make a flow chart as Step One in organizing this monstrous brood.
I should point out that I only bookmark the ones I like.
Oyyyy~

Date: 2008-02-05 06:35 am (UTC)Actually, the first SGA fic I ever read was actually a crossover of the DC-characters-as-a-gate-team variety. The only actual SGA character in it was Dr. Weir. X3
Let's see, I've got some SGA/Eureka (which I read despite having never watched Eureka, and thought was pretty good) and some SGA/NCIS (ditto) and SG-1/JAG (:D Ditto!). I recently found a SGA AU-fic that's a take on the X-Men movies (it was interesting, but probably more interesting if you know the SGA characters and there's some explicit sex involved).
That actually shows you the common things I find for crossovers, really: straight up show-meets-show, or else SGA characters in a different setting (I've seen that sort of thing with NCIS as well).
Whereas the kind I write but never post is like the first one I read: other characters imped into SGA. ^^;

Date: 2008-02-05 02:44 pm (UTC)DC characters (specifically JLI/"I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League!" characters) as an SGA gate-team (with actual SGA and SG-1 characters entioned or cameoing): Staying Alive (http://community.livejournal.com/boostle/141429.html) by DoctorV.
Both have gay sex! The first fic is long and dramatic, the second fic is short and funny.
