I was spoiled about how this would turn out beforehand of course, but I find it very interesting that in John's imagination of how it would go, if he had to stay behind to self-destruct Atlantis, Rodney would object.
Oh, I liked that scene, yes I did. :) Rodney would object and say that they should at least toss a coin or something to determine who stays behind and goes kablooey.
Except that Rodney wouldn't say to toss a coin -- that was pure John -- Rodney would just argue until John or someone else yelled at him to just go.
Coming as it does after the episode where John says Teyla, Ronon, Elizabeth, Carson and Rodney are like family to him and he would do anything for any one of them? It's clear he feels that this is reciprocated.
