I'm not obsessing. Really.

I just had to post this, given my last post. XD
Excerpt from a transcript of the SGA panel at Comicon 2007:
Question: I know that Joe Flanigan wanted to do more Sheppard backstory, but will fans really see it?
Joe Mallozzi: In fact, actually, that’s what we were talking about on Friday. We’re spinning Sheppard’s backstory, specifically the fact that in “Letters from Pegasus,” he didn’t really seem to have anyone out there and the question is sort of ‘why?’ and it’s something we discussed on Friday and we’ve got something really cool planned which I’m not at liberty to reveal right now, but Joe [Flanigan] came up with a great springboard for a story. We’re going back to Earth-
Joe Flanigan: Was that the one that’s not scrapped? I just wanted..
Joe Mallozzi: You’ll love it, trust me, you’ll love it.
David: That’s the one about his past as a dancer, right?
Joe Mallozzi: Right. That’s the one.
Amanda: An exotic dancer.
David: An exotic dancer.
There is a video of the panel that fans can watch, but alas, only US fans. So the lovely
wraithfodder did a transcript for the rest of us, which is here. I warn you ahead of time that there's a bunch of spoilers in here -- especially if you, like me, haven't even seen the back end of the second season yet.
David Hewlett and Amanda Tapping are very fun to watch interact. :3

Date: 2007-08-01 11:03 am (UTC)(Although this whole "stalking dGeek via his eminently stalkable website thing I do has me spoiled for some of what will be in season 5. Rachel Luttrell's pregnant! :D)
And while I'd read most of the fics you recced in that email (which I will finish writing the response to, I swear) and was familiar with Pru already fo sho, I hadn't hit upon that.
I think I actually screamed with laughter a few times reading that series.

Date: 2007-08-01 04:15 pm (UTC)WOT? In that case, it is... good that you're not averse to being spoiled by such things as con reports and producers who post pics on their blogs of the dinner they had last night, their dogs, and, oh yes, set photos from that same day. It's so hard to stay innocent these days.
Pru = so funny, she makes me CRY. \o/
Also, MAN, if I still had my huge hard drive, I would burn you data DVDs of all three seasons and be done with it. Catch you up on the source lickity-split, I'll tell you what. I grabbed avi files of all the eps before the huge file-host shut-down of, when was that, last year? Oh, those were the days.

Date: 2007-08-02 12:18 am (UTC)I generally avoid Joe Mallozzi's blog. :3 I am vaguely spoiled about stuff in season 2 and some of season 3. Reading episode synopses or getting spoiled by fic just can't compare to watching it, though, especially where the main cast has such great chemistry flying around. I hope to watch more soon.
