Feb. 17th, 2007 11:57 pmOkay, I went looking on YouTube to see if there were any snippets from the Arsène Lupin cartoon (please note that I am not talking about the anime based on the Lupin III manga by Monkey Punch, but the amusing slightly steampunk cartoon based on the actual French novels) because I was talking about the show with Kiffie and Lakidaa earlier.
Well, I found snippets from the live-action French series done some time ago--
--and a trailer for the movie. It looks like an actual period drama. I think I'll be paying a visit to the International section of my local video rental place because AUGH WANT TO SEE.
ETA: Okay,
teriyakibroth pointed out that the opening credits for the cartoon, called Nighthood (or Night Hood), are on YouTube. I now realise that they are actually a partial homage to the live action series' opening, just in a bit of the style.
How can you not love a gentleman thief with a monocle?
