Andorians...! ( ._.)9

So I settled myself down to write a quartet of vignettes sort of showing the bondgroup accumulating people, in a first impression kind of way. I figured a page, page-and-a-half per section. Nothing huge.

SEVEN PAGES LATER, I am still on the first section. Apparently it doesn't want to be a vignette. It may, in fact, want to be a novella. ARGH.

Also, the first officer (as yet still unnamed, although my feeling is that it's a male human) is getting somewhat... prickly. Jealous. Antagonistic. He resents how the second officer, i.e. Glenn, became so chummy with the Captain after the new CMO (and her harem bondgroup) came on board, having been long time friends of Glenn's and swiftly becoming fast friends with the Captain. (Glenn and Shallan met at the academy^! and remained close friends ever since, no matter where they were posted; he likes all her spouses, and they all like him.) I can kinda see his point, I guess, but I don't know what to do with him, except possibly have An Incident and then transfer him to a different ship.

Gnaarrrrgh, andorians! *tears at hair*

^! And yes, there are stories I could tell about that/then.
