felt like a change

Changed all my icons. Now they're almost all from Advent Children, and almost all of Cloud Strife. Whom I love. (I remember when I never would have said that...)

Also changed the colour scheme of my journal. Let me know if it's unreadable.

As you can see, Fenrir also makes an appearance in one of these icons. Because Fenrir is a pretty, pretty bike which occasionally reminds me of a spider. I think it's the front tires - there are two tires, and they each have a cover, and it looks a bit like mandibles. To me, anyway.

edward_hyde's recent post requesting buddy cop movie recommendations, combined with the Third Invid War online novel I read last night and today -- DANDELIONS by Amy Borden, which is very good but probably won't ever get its sequel(s) at this rate -- caused me to reflect on the fact that not only do I like cops, I like bikes. In fact, some of the things I recommended to ed involved bikes. You're Under Arrest!, Bubblegum Crisis, even Patlabor at times. I especially like bikes as combined with mechs, which explains my love of Venus Wars and such. I really loved the bike scenes in FFVII: Advent Children (although I love it for a lot of reasons), and I like playing the same in Samurai Legend Musashi (which I also love for a lot of reasons)...

...and I like fighting games like Tekken, the whole King of Fighters family, and fighting books like Yu Yu Hakusho and yes, Yu Gi Oh counts here too...
