FYI, fandoms I have more recently gotten into include: The Losers, Magnificent Seven (the TV show, not the movie), and Invaders (the Marvel team that started in WWII era -- I was already into them, but I'm much more so lately). I really like Wheeljack. He's one of my favourites. :3

Nope, none.

'Jack's best friend is Ratchet -- which works out well professionally, because explosions and medical care, one follows the other fairly often. But actually their personalities are what causes it, I think, and I like them together. They can make each other laugh, even after all this war.
Wheeljack has other friends, of course: he and Perceptor can be mad scientists together when their work overlaps, and it's great, and I suspect he and Jazz have long talks on a frequent basis...

I'm not sure I have one. I'm not sure what the popular opinions are.

*glares at current comics, and everything Costa did* Poor writing. I wish he hadn't had to have that happen to him.
In summary: Just, basically, I have an uncomplicated affection for Wheeljack. He's easy to like.

XD He's an asshole, and I am inexplicably fond of him. That about sums it up.

See above, and also... I dunno, I just, he's really a jerk, right? But I understand why. And I understand him, a lot of the time. He's actually quite transparent. It's just that he's sort of delightfully an asshole from time to time. And watching him grow as a person -- but still be arrogant as hell -- amuses me.
* All the people I ship romantically with this character
Oh, uh, god. XD All his wives? No, that's not true, actually. And I don't ship him as much as he ships himself -- Namor's about a century old and he gets around. I thought he was cute with Marrina. I don't entirely like his thing with Sue, but that's because I don't really like Sue. I feel bad for how things went down with Dorma, even though I never really liked Dorma, but for an arranged marriage between cousins it could have been worse. I am mostly exasperated by the thing with Emma, but it's better than Emma and Scott, even the terrible thing called Scott we have nowadays...
Really, more than liking him romantically with any one person, I am amused and impressed by the range those people have fallen into. They don't have to be humanoid. They don't have to be anything another Terran male would find attractive! They are always impressive specimens of their type, queens and heroes, with an aura of power. The fact that Namor can see something to draw him in such a wide range of beings actually speaks pretty well of him.
And probably pisses off all the Atlanteans who were miffed at his mother for breeding with a surfaceworlder, but hey! That's just a bonus.

My broTP? Who I think is Namor's BFF? This is no secret: it's Jim.
They bicker like children. They fight like spatting brothers, except with superpowers. They know how to piss each other off, and do so, constantly and deliberately. But when Namor is taking over the surface world, who does he brainwash to be by his side? Jim. And when Jim comes back from "death" and feels lost, who dons a disguise and orchestrates an attack by giant robots so he can do what he does best? Namor. It's just how they are. Because you see, they aren't just friends, they're brothers.
The whole core group of the Invaders -- Jim, Cap, Bucky, Toro, and to a slightly lesser degree Jackie and Brian (and Roger) -- are special to Namor. His first friends. His first comrades. They may try to get him to play nice, but they know that just because he's an asshole who sometimes, for political reasons, has to invade the surface, doesn't mean he's just a bad guy. And they've done so much that gave them a bond.
Unfortunately, there is a friend for the darker side of Namor's existance. For the part of him that does invade the surface, and do things that mark him as a villain. For the arrogant kingly side of him. And that's Doom. They are so bad for each other. But they keep coming together...

Ehhhh, I got nuthin'. I am generally unhappy with Marvel right now -- and for the past... many years -- but they haven't done terribly with Namor in the thigns I've seen. It will be interesting to hear how fallout from the phoenix incident progresses.

One of the best ways I've heard family described is that they're the people you can fight horrifically with-- drawn out, knock down fights --one day, and the next morning wake up and have coffee with 'em, because "I'm sorry" is a given.
It does seem to be one of the ideals. That no matter what they say to you, they are still your family. Also a factor in a lot of familial abuse issues. :/
In my family, "I'm sorry" is never implied. Which is why so many of us are aggressively Not Talking to each other.

Toro: Okay, Namor, wear these. *hands him sequined booty shorts* And take Toots for a run. ...Maybe wear them over something unshiny so when you want her to stop chasing you, you can take these off. No? You sure? Look -- they iridesce!
Also -- despite the fact that Tara does not need to exercise, she still sometimes goes with Toro & Toots on their runs. If asked, she will explain that there are two reasons for this. The first is that it accustomes Toots to running with Tara for times when she may be birdsitting. The second is that it allows her to spend time with her brother.
Sometimes Jim joins them. :3 Torch family and ostrich jogging through the park. :3

I like Sif. I think I like movie and Klingon Sif better than comic Sif, slightly? I do like that she became an awesome badass in the comics from sheer stubborn grit, adn let Valkyries beat her up until she learned -- which is soemthing that's missing in the movies, Valkyriar. :/ Hm.
